Frequently Asked Questions
On what days are sessions available?
Currently session are available on Saturdays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
How long is a hypnosis session?
The sessions are either 50 minutes or 80 minutes long (leaving 10 minutes for Sean to complete his notes and record keeping for the session). Specific durations are established during the consultation and are dependent on each client's needs and each session's unique requirements.
Are sessions in person or online?
Sessions are done in person in Sean's office at 6860 S Yosemite Ct, Centennial, CO 80112, near I-25 and Arapahoe Rd.
How many sessions does it take?
Some issues require only a single session. Others require 3, 4, or more sessions, usually once per week. Quitting smoking is a special exception and can be done in 3 sessions, as long as the client is genuinely, strongly motivated to stop. Everyone's case is unique, and your treatment plan will be determined during your free initial consultation.
Do you take insurance?
No. Payments are made by credit card.
How much does hypnotherapy cost?
Since every case is unique, especially the number of sessions needed and their lengths, cost will be determined at the end of your free consultation.
Can I schedule a single session "just to try it out?"
No, and for a very good reason. For hypnosis to be effective, the client needs to be relaxed and focused at the same time, and able to pay attention to the hypnotist to follow instructions.
If you're here "just to try it out," you'll spend the whole session asking yourself, "Is it working? Am I hypnotised? Am I doing this right?" instead of approaching the session with the correct state of mind. What a waste of your time that would be!
Is my credit card info required to hold my reservation?
Yes, to hold your appointment as a reservation in the calendar, your credit card authorization must be completed. You will receive the form along with your other intake documents immediately after your free consultation. Unfortunately, history has shown this necessary to prevent "no-shows."
What if I think my issue is more complicated, or what if I'm not ready for hypnosis?
Another option is to see Sean for traditional talk therapy. He has a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), soon to be fully licensed. If you'd like to see Sean for counseling, visit his other site, www.GoldenMeanCounseling.com.
Some clients prefer to begin with counseling in order to develop trust and comfort in the therapeutic relationship, and then shift to hypnotherapy when they feel they're ready. It's your choice! Most people feel completely comfortable doing hypnosis with Sean after meeting him during their free consultation.
